QUOTING, PRICING, AND ORDERING

Q: Can I get a free quote?

A: Definitely. If you haven’t worked with us in the past, please email sales@promowear.ie with as much detail about the order as you can. If you have ordered with us before, simply e-mail the customer service person you worked with on your last order.

Q: Do you provide free samples?

A: We charge for samples but we refund the cost when they are returned (within 10 working days) or they may be used in your order.

Q: How can I pay?

A: We accept all major credit and debit cards. You can also pay through bank transfers. Alternatively, you can apply for a Trade Credit Account. For decorated garment orders, there is a 50% deposit required on placement of your order and the balance is due before delivery.

Q: Is there a minimum number of items that I need to place an order?

A: There are no minimum orders on plain garments. However, for decorated garments, there is a minimum order quantity of 10 items. These can be mixed across sizes, colours or styles. Pricing varies depending on the total amount ordered and certain decoration processes are geared for ordering small amounts. Please contact us and we’ll help you work out the best approach for your order.

Q: What information do you need for me to place an order?

A: The more details, the better! Below is the list of everything we need, and we can help get some of the specifics for you:

  • PO (if you have one)
  • Garment style
  • Garment colour
  • Break down of total quantity in sizes
  • Artwork
  • Date you need the order by
  • Delivery address
  • Delivery method or pick up

 

TIMELINE, PRODUCTION, AND SHIPPING

Q: How quickly will my order be done?

A: Standard turnaround time is 7-10 working days from when you have approved your art mock up and we have your garments in house. We can turn things around sooner if needed and sometimes this can incur an additional cost. For garments which do not require decoration we can usually deliver within 2-3 working days of receipt of order.

Q: When does production start on my order?

A: Production begins once any art proofs have been approved and we have your garments in house. Changes made once production begins may result in additional charges. For example, if you have approved a screen print proof and you decide to change the size, we would need to re-make new screens with the new size of art.

Q: Do you deliver?

A: Yes, we deliver via Fastway Couriers next day throughout Ireland or via DPP and DHL for international shipments. If it’s convenient, you can also collect your order from our premises.


 

ARTWORK AND FILE SUBMISSION

Q: What formats do you accept for art?

A: Printed garments should ideally be in EPS or PDF formats. However, low resolution, word files, and other art that needs to be redrawn will incur a €35 redraw charge to be assessed on a case by case basis. With embroidery, we are more flexible so JPEG, PDF or Word files are usually fine.

Q: How do I let you know the exact color I want to print or embroider?

A: For printing, if you have a Pantone reference, we will colour match it as close as possible. If no Pantone reference is provided, we will specify a suitable colour. For embroidery, the number of available thread colours is more limited so we can select the closest thread to match the art you have submitted or you are welcome to drop in to pick colours from our pantone book or thread card.

Q: How will I receive my artwork proof?

A: For screen printing we always produce a digital proof to ensure you are completely happy with how everything looks prior to production being carried out. For embroidered designs and logos, we usually send a sewn sample on a swatch of fabric by post or a digitized sample in the form of a PDF via email. Before production can start, we will require your written approval to proceed. This can be done in the form of an e-mail. We are not responsible for any errors once permission for production has been given by the customer.

Q: Is there a difference between printing on a white garment and a colored garment?

A: On a dark coloured garment, screen printing requires a white layer of ink to be printed as a foundation before printing the actual colors in the logo. For example, if you wanted to print one colour red on a dark coloured garment, this would be treated as a two colour print as there would be a first down white.
